Monks is the leading lettings agents in Shrewsbury, Oswestry, Wem and across Shropshire. Whether you’re an experienced landlord or letting for the first time, we have the expertise and local knowledge to find the right tenants for your property.

We offer two service packages to suit your particular needs – ‘let only’ and ‘full management’.

With the ‘let only’ package, you deal directly with your property, and with your tenants once they’re living there, and we are helping with anything until the tenancy begins – including marketing of your property, assessing prospective tenants and carrying out credit and identity checks, preparing the tenancy agreement, motifying the relevant utility companies and more.

With the ‘full management’ package, we can handle the whole letting process for you. That package includes everything that comes with the ‘let only’ package plus some additional services, including collecting the monthly rent, generally by standing order, and transferring the balance to your bank account, registering the deposit within the Deposit Protection Service (in line with government legislation), arranging your annual Landlord’s Gas Safety Certificate, liaising with utility companies, checking out the tenant at the end of the tenancy and more. And as part of this package, we offer a 100% Rent Guarantee Policy which starts from month one of the rent not being paid, and gives you peace of mind that you won’t incur any loss if a tenant defaults on their rent.
